    some of the modifiers and shapes don't add any or very much mana cost to the overall spell. while damage adds loads of mana cost, duration barely changes the cost at all. so to get something like a firestorm that will do tons of damage but isnt expensive, adding durationx3 is what you want...

    Technically, they will. There is a peaceful mob cap, so under normal conditions peaceful mobs do not respawn, but if you killed all entities, they would start to respawn after a bit but its rather slow-peacful mobs only try to spawn once every 20 seconds.

    EnderIO soul vials, the safari nets, and Thaumic Tinkers has a dislocation wand foci, though I don't remember weather it picks up blocks and entities, or only blocks, and if you want to transport peaceful mobs, there is the golden lasso from extra utilities.
