You can use any tanks/drums with pipes and faucets the same way the smeltery works.
Portable tanks can even be set to output into the basin directly, if you put the basin under it.
The only packs here that I remember using Clockwork Phase were Horizons: Daybreaker, and early versions of Atonement: Sins of the past.
Neither had particularly dangerous jungles, though.
That's small, there are bigger cities. It may seem big, but there's hardly anything in it. Just a couple of tinkeries and a bunch of filler structures.
Other cities will be more difficult, and they have other stuff you'll need.
If you still haven't figured it out, it's called Waila. Check your controls to see which button toggles "[Waila] Show/Hide", which is probably what you pressed.
I haven't tried this yet, but I have played with tornados in the past (Atonement modpack). Are you sure you want to go with it? It makes things impossible to build on the surface, and the areas around you become a crappy wasteland pretty fast.
Such mods sound cool in theory, but are extremely annoying in practice. Don't install such mods as one of the main mechanics that the rest of the pack depends on.
That's not how troubleshooting works. If I say that my windows key suddenly isn't working, you don't ask if my computer is plugged in.
