    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

Why do you need the Mekanism charcoal block? The two types should be interchangable in recipes / as fuel. I can't see a way to make the Mekanism version except cheating them in. If it's really important you could add CraftingManager to your setup. In a vanilla crafting table, it allows you to...

    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

I've been using Ender IO's ender rails to teleport to/from Moon/Mars etc. It works pretty well. Not sure if it's intended that they be enabled since other teleport methods are disabled. (Like Mekanism)

    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

We've been playing 0.8.2 for the past several weeks with no issues. (Until today.) It looks like the 1.2.4 version of Extra Utilities included in 0.8.2 has a problem where the Millennium portal or Deep Dark Portal isn't clickable when Galacticraft is installed. To fix, I had to install the...

Railcraft Blast Furnace is also an option. Plus you can use the Blast Furnace to convert any steel items you may have found in villages, dungeons, etc. back to ingots. It also takes charcoal, you don't need coal coke now.

    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

I do something very similar. I do interface -> open crate also. And either an EU item node with a filter to pick up the finished seeds, or a botania hopperhock next to a chest with item frames that contain the finished items to act as the filter (you don't need to power the hopperhock with mana...

[1.7.10] Regrowth - A WIP HQM pack - Now Listed!

jopk, you've asked that so many times that it's getting annoying. I highly recommend that you just play what's there now. It may not be "complete", but it's a super, great pack and a lot of fun as is. There aren't any real road-blocks or bugs in the pack as it exists that I've found. Even after...

[1.7.10] Regrowth - A WIP HQM pack - Now Listed!

Today I learned that when you pick up a book off the ground, it automatically goes into your Book Binder. LOL :) I was so very confused when trying to upgrade my Botania book by throwing it through the Alfheim portal and the book disappearing after I picked it up. Tried like 10 times, I swear...

You have to have the Alfheim portal before you can really start Thaumcraft, I think. But you can do a pure Botania tree farm pretty early. (Once you have some redstone.) I found it a lot of fun to do. I more or less did this version: (with modifications from the original Ben Fraley one that he...

Most likely just a path issue. Are you trying to run the .bat file through the Explorer, or though command-line? My guess is Explorer. Try doing it through the command-line and cd into the server directory first.

You can get mushrooms the same way you get saplings, with that mutating fertilizer. Once you get a red and a brown mushroom, the seeds + mycelium just makes it easier.

For "thaumium" mining level you can also do pig iron. It's a bit of a pain to get the blood, but can get you a little farther down that line without going further in witchery / botania / thaumcraft quest lines. Once you have some molten metal in the smeltery, you can jump in yourself to *very*...

[1.7.10] Regrowth - A WIP HQM pack - Now Listed!

Started this pack this weekend. We're a decent way in. Great pack so far. Probably one of the best out there, IMO. My only real complaint so far is that progression is controlled too much by the quest book. I prefer my quests more as a guide through progression rather than being required to...

    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

Yeah, I was just letting ChatFawkes know that 0.7.15 really wasn't up yet, when he had reported that it was up. (It shows on the launcher now, but doesn't work.) Not a big deal. I actually think 3+ days to get changes accepted and pushed is one of the biggest weaknesses of the ftb launcher, though.

I set the download location to curseCDN and it still tried to download from creeperhost. Not sure what's up with that.

    [1.7.10] Flux Galaxy - A Space-Based MagiTech Modpack

BTW, I tried to install 0.7.15 (from scratch, this was my first time trying FluxGalaxy) and it was just a vanilla minecraft. Got: Error while downloading modpack: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://losangeles1.creeperrepo.net/FTB2/privatepacks/FluxGalaxy/0_7_15/FluxGalaxy.zip So it looks...

[1.7.10] Phoenix Reborn [Tech/Magic] [Progression] [Ores]

The modpack has the TooMuchRain mod, so you could go in and tweak the configs to your liking. And since it has the mod, the amount of rain must be on purpose? Most overworld biomes are desert-like so you don't see the rain, just the dark sky and lightning if it happens. Interestingly, the...

[1.7.10] Phoenix Reborn [Tech/Magic] [Progression] [Ores]

In my experience, the portal in Erebus is just random in location. 2 out of 4 times it's been high up in the air and we had to platform over to somewhere safe or bring water and waterfall down. The other 2 times, we spawned in the middle of a "hill" and had to tunnel out. Even worse, when my...

[1.7.10] Phoenix Reborn [Tech/Magic] [Progression] [Ores]

Well, a manasteel pick can also pick up obsidian. And you can get that super-early, it just takes iron and a botania mana pool. So you could always create a Nether portal before the Erebus one. For the crash, here's why: [18:24:32] [Server thread/WARN]: Failed to load eula.txt [18:24:32]...

[1.7.10] Phoenix Reborn [Tech/Magic] [Progression] [Ores]

LOL. Whenever Umberstone is broken, it looks for the nearest player to give an achievement. When it doesn't find one, it crashes with a NPE. I'd report that to the Erebus Issue tracker. https://github.com/ganymedes01/TheErebus/issues

[1.7.10] Phoenix Reborn [Tech/Magic] [Progression] [Ores]

I think the mushrooms can randomly spawn in any dark area. So under trees, in caves, etc... I usually find them under trees, when I'm not really looking for them. It helps to just be on the look out for them from the start, knowing you need at least one for the Erebus portal. Maybe a semi-hard...
