Same essence as for regular certus quartz, only in a different pattern (center slot in crafting recipe is empty)

Can you see any other recipes? E.g. diamonds (gold+redstone), nickel/ferrous (gold+quartz), emeralds (diamond+gold), etc. ?

Hmmm... aluminum I don't know... as for the others, they are all in NEI (e.g. lead comes from crossbreaing from lapis and salt, etc. - just follow the questline) P.S. I was lucky and got a reinforced watering can in a reward bag (just because I am an obsessive reward bag collector :D.. I'm sure...

Here are the crash logs, I think all of them are related to the crash since I tried restarting 2-3 times (and then used the backup)...

I just had a CTD when I was trying to connect a tempered fluiduct (thermal expansion) to an auto-disenchanter (mfr)... (maybe it's a known bug that I didn't know about...?)

You can get shiny metal by pulverizing ferrous ore - but only in a Thermal expansion pulverizer...

Hmmm... normally yes, but in this case the "claim reward" button was totally missing... one restart later, everything works fine... weird bug... :S p.s. still wasting hours on this pack, so far, to me, one the best i've played :)

well, as much as I enjoy this pack, I have unfortunately hit a problem: can't finish the "Coal Seeds" quest - the claim button is missing... also, there isn't a recipe for chicken spawn in NEI (although I solved that one using your post)... pics here: http://imgur.com/a/fi3Dz
