    I have to agree with you there. To be honest I disabled infernal mobs early on. In every dungeon/battle tower/whatever I was holding my ground until an infernal mob spawned, then was forced to retreat. Infernal mobs sort of push any structure with a spawner into late game, unless you cheese it...

    What's wrong with armor imbuement? I haven't had any problems with it that I can tell. I have however been getting somewhat frequent crashes while in the end, which appear to be related to mana regeneration. Is it possibly related? http://pastebin.com/ueg45SWT

    I don't think that there is any way to change tainted nodes into a different kind. I accidentally corrupted the giant Ira node that I was building. However I think that if you energize it, then all of the secondary effects go away unless you de-energize it. It's not really a huge problem...

    Is there a way to spawn them in manually? Because they're needed for getting the nature guardian to appear. Also I liked having my base on Harem Island :( It was especially funny when warp gave me the withering death gaze...

    I have to disagree about projectile-damage spells not going very far. The mana cost is really prohibitive at low levels, and when you don't yet have those armor augments. But I just hit the point where they really start to shine, and I have a spell that can 1-hit KO typical vanilla...

    They're out there, just keep exploring. You might have to cover a lot of ground. Look for black circles on journeymap. Has anyone gotten the end dragon quest? I just killed it but the quest didn't complete. Is the quest perhaps looking for the vanilla ender dragon rather than the ender...

    The only problem that I've ever had with the guadians was an interaction between the fire guardian and thaumcraft's runic armor, which caused a crash when hit. Switching to peaceful mode before loading the world back up fixed it. This was a few versions back so it might no longer be an issue...

    Thaumcraft native clusters (obtained by using alchemy on ores, or a pickaxe of the core), infernal furnace on the thaumcraft artifice tab, or infernal blast furnace from witching gadgets (requires infernal furnace).

    First tier is 30. All of the details are in the manual under blocks->armor imbuement table. And it isn't just for ars magica armor, you can imbue any armor.

    I see lots of Ars Magica discussion now so I'll throw in my two cents. Make a projectile: magic damage spell. In my experience the other damage spells give about 6 experience per hit, but magic damage gives 12. It's a good idea to have a second damage type anyway, since some enemies resist one...

    More often than not I have ended up with towers where the corner anti-builders are behind dirt and therefore impossible to get at. I've also had towers where the anti-builders were covered by fibrous taint. I've heard that using a shovel on your gravestone will allow you to recover it, though.

    Surviving is really tough at the very start. Besides that, I noticed that most of the surface layer of sand is turned into tainted crust upon word gen. Tainted crust has a tendency to collapse into goo, so if you spawn near beaches you'll get loads of slimes quickly. It's not nearly as bad if...

    You can find lilypads of fertility in dungeon chests. I think they work on a 9x9 area, up to one block below and four blocks above the lilypad. The effects of multiple lilypads stack, too. I've got four of them, and they make crop breeding go really quickly.

    I also have an excess of gold, for two reasons: 1) Progression through thaumcraft has been using up a lot more iron than gold. 2) Thaumcraft treasure bags. They drop very commonly from mobs, and usually contain gold coins and sometimes gold bars, but not iron.
