Well you could try to clear the entities with mcedit. with the newest version you can load your world up again without turning everythign it doesnt know to pumpkins and other items.

Is it possible to create something like a changelog for the texturepack? For me its quite difficult to decide whether i should download a newer version or not. And its a biut too much work to download it frequently because I have many custom textures.

Well I think it has to be finished to be added to the Launcher. And last time I checked there was missing half Stevescarts and some more thingys, so it just depends whether there is someone who wants to put his time and effort into finishing the textures.
