Try lowering your video settings to the lowest quality. That should hold you off until FTB updates to a new version of Minecraft.

I'm not the final word in fact I don't have a say in what the FTB staff does. What I can say is that the author of Mo Creatures does not let anyone use use his mod in Modpacks. If you really want to try and get them to somehow get permissions for it and add it there is a special forum for that...

I forget where is was but somebody has it.

Even if the mod was opensourced it would still take awhile for somebody to update it. Isnt there like 2k blocks and items. Each one of those requires its own texture now.
