Yeah, I just realized that the update was broken, so I spent hours disabling, re-enabling and updating mods only to find that the ModPack was running on the previous version of Forge that I used and NOT the new one that I specified when I updated the ModPack to 0.1.6.

All seems to be looking up for the 0.1.6 release, I just started up the Tyro Carton client, connected it to a server running on my laptop, and flew around with a jetpack!

Ok, it looks like version 0.1.6 will be playable! Thank to you all for letting me know about the duplicate files, and I will put a mods list into the original post along with the pack description. Sorry about all the pain many of you are going through attempting to get the ModPack working, I am working to try to get the bugs fixed in version 0.1.6 and hopefully make the next release playable.

Actually, I know the netstat command works on Mac OS X (I have a Mac and have used the command in the past, and I just tested it again) and I'm pretty sure that it also works on Linux.

If you were able to access the server the day before with no problem and your Java or something didn't update without you noticing, and now you are not able to access the server, the only plausible explanation is that it is someone else's Thaumcraft Table, you don't have to read the crash report...

I agree with all of your suggestions, except this one needs more clarification, do you mean that ores should still be naturally generated along with the rest of the world, or that ores should be given as quest rewards or spawned in dungeon chests. If it is the latter, I totally agree with you...

No problem, once you get the hang of it it's usually pretty easy what went wrong and where it happened. Happy crash-report reading!

I would be really exited for an opportunity to work with the FTB team doing something useful, but I have a Mac and kind of doubt that anyone has taken the time to write a permission checking program for Mac. :(
