The only things that might overflow are things with limited usage. Like Flint, or Ex Nihilo Seeds you no longer need, or Limestone, or Bonemeal. I have an Cyclic Assembler to turn them into bags of Bonemeal and my Barrel is still overflowing (512 Stacks)

One last question: if the tank on the altar is "full" will the export bus stop pumping blood in or will the altar act like a portal into the void and waste it?

I think I've read somewhere that Heads have a greater stabilizing effect then candles. But you need to keep the orientation of the heads symmetrical or it can cause instability.
