I have the single player version running fine with some added mods.
I want to play on a server though, and I can't figure out how. I've tried downloading the server files, but it doesn't change anything. I launch the launcher, and I'm still on the same set of mods I've been on. I thought...
I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for mods that you've added yourselves that work with FTB.
I've gotten the following to work:
Optifine(You can just put this in inst mods)
Matmos
Coros Tornadoes/Weather mod
Mo Creatures
Gui API
Custom Mob Spawner
Coral Reef Mod
Basic...
FTB Launcher version (if this isn't the newest update and try again): Current version
Minecraft Version: 1.4.2
Java version: Java 7?
Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: About half the time when I start or load a world, my game will crash and I will get the below...
If I was to install my own mods, and then I updated the modpack, would that overwrite or mess with the mods I installed? For example, if I installed Mo creatures now, and then a week later, RP2 arrived. I then accepted the update to the mod pack. Would that mess with my Mo creatures install?
Absolutely. I will dumb Technic as soon as this has all the mods updated. I'd rather use this because it has the good will of the mod makers. Btw, technic is on 1.2.5 still, so it's using the old versions of the mods.
I wouldn't say Technic is beaten yet. Until RP, EE, and Thaumcraft are added, FTB can't compete, legality of each pack aside. Of course, that should be fixed in a couple weeks, but until then, I think I'll stick with Technic.
If I was to start playing the modpack now, would I be able to transfer that world and work over to the modpack when it officially releases? Obviously more mods will be added and changed, so will that permanently damage the world I would start now? Thanks!
