    I'm testing it out now with a chunk loader. I've got one on 50 Xycorium Soil blocks to 'increase' the ticks. And one all alone, vanilla. With some lamps nearby. So far, about 7 hours later, no dice.

    Thanks, I'll give that a try. Hopefully it works. I'm afraid I'm desperate enough to try and mess with the code. But I'm not sure where to start... cause I think they are Red Powered trees. But I also think XL Biomes toys with it, too.

    I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with this, but is there any way to get the 'huge rubber tree' in other biomes? Currently it appears to only spawn in the Jungle biome. And I noticed I cannot get the saplings in creative mode - but I can obtain them from the trees in the jungle...
