So when can I use this app without needing to create a curse login? And when will it be a true standalone app and not shove all the social-networking "curse voice" crap I don't need or want down my throat?

Yet I have found these textures I am looking for, but my other issue remains. I guess I will sigh it up and register, but I still feel it's very pointless and annoying to have to juggle email just to view stuff on a forum. Just my 2 cents.

Screenshots posted as attachments. I click on them and get the error. Would registering require me to jump through hoops (a.k.a. clicking links sent to email which is unnecessary and annoying) to properly register?

This, unfortunately brings me to another problem. I keep getting smacked in the face with "please log in to view screenshots" because of some funky permissions set on attachments for some reason. :v

tons of alternatives? So like what, 50+ alternative textures for each and every block in the game? Some even being duplicates since textures that weren't "officialized" are still in as alternatives? This still doesn't answer my original question as to if there's alternative wood plank textures...

What do you have in such a file? Uncompressed raw TIFF images and/or photoshop documents?

So it's impossible to offer say, an alternative textures zip file and those of us that'd like to customize it without some fancy-smancy customizer can do so manually inside the zip archives?

Try running it on a non-bukkit environment? Like the actual forge environment? Cauldron/MCPC+ is known to cause issues with various mods...

However, this advertisement is a static image and link, which has absolutely no chance of distributing malware. The ads Curse likes to provide however, can do so since they're often flash-based scripted ads. So in this regard, I would rather Curse have no ability to dump ads onto the launcher...
