Applied Energistics 2 is much different than 1, to link your wireless access terminal you must create a security terminal and do it in there, the security isn't required you just need the terminal for some reason. GUI should be self explanatory

Mekanism is a very underused tech mod, I've seen it used in only 3 packs as of now, and as for magic mods, not many people use Ars Magica anymore, even though it's still a thing. Also Draconic Evolution or Metallurgy could work
