Pretty sure I saw Rope plus mod in the ultimate pack when I first downloaded it. Now it seems to be gone. Am I wrong about it being in their to begin with ? And if not anyone know why it's been removed ?

Also the new version of codechickencore that is included in the ultimate pack and will no doubt be included in the other main packs when updated has a config that allows you turn off creeper enviroment damage. ie: no damage to blocks.

Unless it changed. Basalt is creeper proof, and anyone who has mo creatures installed, Basalt and marble are both Ogre proof too as an aditional bit of useless info. Water is also a good creeper buffer.

No one forces you to read / reply or backseat moderate. You could just ignore without feeling a need to give your opinion on everything.

As others have said, start by punching trees. It's not a race. Take your time, do the vanilla thing and slowly introduce things as you need them. A good start is always any set of machines that double your ores. Industrial craft or theraml expansion are great for this and easy'ish to get into...

Just a FYI, Forgecraft is not the FTB testing server. One has nothing to do with the other. Forgecrat is a server that some mod developers play on and test their alpha / beta builds before release. They don't use FTB packs.
