    Need more Mj storage.

Yeah, I've made other systems. But I always go back to that one. Due to incessant nerfing, managing power systems becomes a boring chore. Sugar biofuel is a nice one too. Managed by golems or a solar powered steve's cart harvester. Blaze Rod steam boilers were a nice one, until it got nerfed...

    Two quick questions

Options: 1) Void Pipe. You can use a Diamond Pipe to separate everything you want to get rid of and attach a void pipe to the corresponding colored output. 2) DestructoPack. This is a player-item. You can right-click with this and drag and drop things from your inventory to be destroyed...

    Need more Mj storage.

That is the set-up I use. Lava takes 20,000 MJ to make. And 1 bucket gives 18,000 MJ in a Magmatic Engine. So 90% conversion efficiency. Not really any worse than 2 Redstone Energy Cells. But yeah, you don't need to use Netherrack in a Magma Crucible. You can just use cobblestone more easily...

    Logic Matrix Programmer

It's Minecraft. Where does the line end for creativity and begin for exploit? Ultimately, the game is what you want it to be. That's why Creative mode exists. Why are you getting your panties in a bunch over a game that has god-mode built-in? Duping? What platinum duping? You mean using...

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

After living in a "standard box" in my last world, I figured I'd live in something larger. I decided on an open concept. I had found a dome building program someone wrote on the ComputerCraft Forums (sdbuild), and had a Turtle build a dome. The code is pretty complex; I have no shame in...

Some things I've noticed with latest update (DW20 pack)

Sounds like it's working right. It should chunk stuff out at a pretty decent rate. Use a gold pipe if you want it to reach the destination quicker and turn off the pumping condition.

Some things I've noticed with latest update (DW20 pack)

Hrm, I wonder if it's broken. I don't think it was ever supposed to be that fast (honestly I'm still on Mindcrack v7). Perhaps someone messed up a digit and its putting out 1 MJ/t instead of 1 MJ/s. For comparison a redstone engine puts out 0.8 MJ/s. They really should only be...

Some things I've noticed with latest update (DW20 pack)

Yeah, but with the slow way an autarchic gate would pump at approximately the same rate a pulverizer / powered furnace would process. So I could plop all my ores in a chest and return later to collect the output. Now I have to re-do my ore processing with hoppers.

Some things I've noticed with latest update (DW20 pack)

I actually saw the change log for this, so knew it ahead of time. Originally Autarchic Gates were supposed to warm up like Redstone Engines, but ultimately operate faster. This has been glitchy for a few versions, so looks like they just had them default to the faster rate.

    Vajra

It doesn't if you have a recharging apparatus (Grav Suit or Hybrid Solar Helmet). But yes, if you let them run out of power, Mazestone tends to eat electrical tools. Lost a diamond drill that way. Better to mine Mazestone with a Mining Laser.

    Vajra

The dream is not complete until you Silk Touch it. But yeah, I've long since learned not to equip it anywhere near my base. That and the Mining Laser. Anyhow, the Vajra isn't just Creative mode..... it actually mines faster than Creative mode.

    ultimate solar helmet

Why does everyone insist on making the game rape-me-in-the-ass hard? I'm sure you're guilty of pumping lava from the Nether at some point. That's far more OP since it requires almost zero start-up cost and gives just as limitless energy. Advanced Solars is my 2nd or 3rd favorite mod in FTB...

    ultimate solar helmet

To be entirely fair, HV Compact Solar does require 512 * Ingredients for one solar panel. 4096 Iron 3328 Copper 6656 Rubber 2048 Tin 1536 Coal 3072 Redstone 4096 Cobblestone 1536 Glass +a few other Matls for the transformers But with Equivalent Exchange and the default IC2 UUM Assembler (use...

    ultimate solar helmet

A compact solar requires nowhere near as long to craft, since the default IC2 recipe is so cheap. But then again, we're talking about a modpack that can transmute wood into gold, so....

    mining laser

You must be on Beta A. Just go into the Options > Keys and change the "Mode" key to something else. I like V since it's closer to WASD.

Thaumcraft Mining w/ Tools & Enchants. Competitive?

This, you're trying to balance TC's ore use with other mods' ore use. As anyone with IC2/GT knows, you'll go through 6 stacks of Iron in no time flat. Thaumcraft? You mostly use the other stuff. Magic essentia. The ideal situation is use your golems to automate Factorization's ore...

Ah, apatite. Now even more the red-headed stepchild of the ores (xychorium you're safe.... for now). It was useless before, but now with the new farms mandating fertilizer / apatite, it's even more useless as people are just turning to Steve's Carts. But yes, it "only generates above 60 height".

    MystCraft 0.10.0.00 Discussion Thread

Flat tends to start the terrain at 128. That means a lot of wasted BC power on a Quarry to get to the good stuff (Diamond level). Stick with normal (height of 50-80) or Cave World + Caves + Ravines (Cave world is just Flat with a hollow center). Keep in mind, I think in the TE file very few...

    MystCraft 0.10.0.00 Discussion Thread

Well, TBH, I don't think CC can do what we want it to do, if you were even reading my post. Someone will have to make a block that can sort villagers. Like Railcraft or GT. EDIT: The ComputerCraft add-on OpenCCSensors (not in FTB) can pretty much do this. Could easily set up a system...

    MystCraft 0.10.0.00 Discussion Thread

Ooo... yeah. The closest thing is ComputerCraft MiscPeripherals can read IDs.... but I don't think they can read Data Values. And I think they only can read inventory items (the Interactive Sorters). The Minecraft Wiki seems to imply Librarians have a DV of 1. Just put the villagers into a...
