Yes, the NEI plugins go in the same folder as the other mods. I've seen that issue before but i don't know what causes it. There are several threads about it though and some probably contain some sort of fix :)

It's likely a problem with creeperhosts servers and while im sure they've got someone at minecon do they defenetly still have people maintaining their servers. And if you'r unable to reach the modpackdata file you'r probably not going to be able to launch the game even if you get your hands on...

In general, a boiler would be favourable for a permanent and stationary machine that is going to be running constantly or for a very long time. While biomass engines or combustion engines would be preferable for temporary, movable machines that only would run for a limited time.

That energy dissipationg is caused by the pump not the thermal expansion things. A thermal expansion setup will never loose any energy by itself. The problem here is that the pump use a tiny bit of energy even when not pumping. Or possibly liquid loss in the pump/pipes.

It seems according to NEI that ore can be processed by the grinder with a droprate of 225%. While it's not 300% it's still 2% better then the Fortune III pickaxe and a LOT easier to obatain :p

As far as i know is the best way of processing ore to use a pickaxe with Fortune III on it. That should give you a 120% increase in diamonds gained. Meaning you'll get 10% more then from a macerator.

Make a folder named FTB in the AppData\Roaming\ftblauncher folder. Install the launcher there, make a shortcut and move it to your desktop.
