so you put the dirt down yourself ? Normally, you're supposed to put the dirt in the farm inventory (on the left side of the inventory slots), and the farm will automatically place it down. I think it will transform the dirt+fertilizer to humus, which is required to grow trees.

Is your extractor pipe on the barrel working when you activate the redstone engine lever ? Does it extract wood ? Also, to make sure the extractor is stopped when the furnace is full, you should use the BC gates and the wires Another thing you could try is putting a hopper under the wood...

and I can also imagine you tried to break the tesseract and the conduit and replaced them ? Maybe by placing the tesseract first ?

is the tesseract configured to be active without a redstone signal ? Direwolf20 had the same problem in his spotlight on Thermal Dynamics
