The configs will change in a new ftb version slightly and you will need to re edit the new ones, you won't be able to use a config backup with updated mods.
However in normal minecraft you can update from 1.3 to 1.7 if you wanted and the world would be fine.
then make a new thread with logs and crash reports so we can help you.
Sorry I've never seen that before please wait till somebody can help. This reply will bump it for you.
um that is just a temp fix IMO. "can't keep up!" means your CPU is having difficulties with something. without logs we can't find the issue and this will happen again.
also what mod pack even is this?
You can change mod pack versions at anytime, all you do is change the libraries, config, and mods out. BUT if you try to go from dw1.5 to dw1.6 or dw1.6 to the future dw1.7 you will have to reset the world then as many id conflicts will occur.
Erm what units are you using for disc IO?
I'll assume you are on Linux- run this to find your real read and write per second
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
Also provide your Sever.log and your forge-0.log
What modpack are you using?
These will help provide us with...
Can you provide your forge-o.log
also don't use these to start your server "-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalPacing -XX:parallelGCThreads=8 -XX:+AggressiveOpts" they don't work.
try -
Code:
Xms2048m -Xmx(YOUR RAM HERE)m -XX:permSize512m
Try Minecraft-region-fixer as it appears you entering a corrupted something. Though I would suggest worldguard and do stoplag as it may be a entity, I am not sure though.
I would first cohost a version and thine choose that in your launcher then choose that version for your server so they both match. By default with nothing change all ids should match if on he the same version.
This may be more suited for the server admin area or bukkit or spigot as it involves plugins and not really ftb. The only thing I can really say is to use mcpc+ and I like essentials! rcmds, prism, factions, and iconomy.
I meant modpack version, miss matched ids occur when config file ids do not match, you may be logging in with the wrong modpack version. I suggest you reinstall the modpack on your server so you know what version it is. This doesn't involve a world reset.
