    How did you adapt to the new energy system? The only way for me so far is to completely over dimension the main lines and to use transformers or transformer upgrades for every single (overclocked) machine. Did you find another solution?

    Probably the nerfs to the liquid fuel values. And IC2 improved their machine quite a bit, plus even added a couple new one. But they are going GregTech now with their recipes (all with plates and tools) and their new energy transport feels clunky.

    At least in 1.6.2 you can take a simple furnace (yep, the 8 cobblestone one), slap a copper wire on it and it will produce UE instead of melting stuff. Not a lot, but it will get the steel production going.

    I've just tried it, you are right. Forge 7.8.1.738 and it uses indeed the .minecraft folder. Which is strange, because the same steps/settings work without problems in 1.6.2. I guess MultiMC would then be another option?
