I think it is 1 aq. accumulator for each 3 engines. Also 1 liquiduct going from the aq. accumulator to the 3 engines has never been a problem to me. No idea about BC pipes.

I think hoppers only suck at max through 1 block. You don't need pipes, because hoppers can transfer items between themselves, take a look (). Plenty of hopper tips on the youtubes :)

Just use vanilla hoppers. I usually do a 3x3 square of hoppers, they'll automatically pick up the eggs, and you can route them to a chest or something if you place the hoppers correctly.

Enabled the BOP mod in the Unleashed pack, but had no idea that I needed to select BOP in the world options when creating the world to get the biomes in. Now I'm in a vanilla world, I guess. Is there a easy way to force the biomes to generate in new chunks?

MJ to magma crucibles (better if you feed them with netherrack) and lava to geothermal generators. There's no block to make a direct conversion though.
