What runs out in a Nuclear reactor?

Components are damaged if they are overheated. you are using a design that is less than ideal for input to output efficiency. dial the power levels down a notch, and you should be able to not damage your components as much. it's better to have 2 reactors working without expending components...

    Show Your Agrarian Skies world

and don't forget food. fishing is a great way to prevent death from starvation. since you are standing still, your hunger will drop very slowly, thus giving you a chance to work your way back up to full when the larder is empty. (as a bonus, it's something you can do while waiting for crops to...

    Show Your Agrarian Skies world

Well. turning in the fishing task can be done about 5 minutes into the game if you go straight for it. no way to make any lake by then. since this is done before you have made any buckets. tossing upwards is a pretty reliable way to make the bobber go properly into the water.

    Show Your Agrarian Skies world

I noticed another strange thing. when doing the fishing task. i found that the only way to reliably cast the rod is by casting it up into the sky while standing right next to or into the water. it's no big deal, but a little FYI for any others who wants to try the challenge out.

    Show Your Agrarian Skies world

I'm trying this out now. skyblock type of maps are like blank canvases. so much fun to be had. but one question. is the tools suposed to be iguanatweeked with the XP system it adds? because on my end that does not seem to be even remotely working. edit: NVM the tool level up system. I found the...

I dunz no what to do

Taint is still a problem tho. it causes a lot of block updates when it spreads. and it spreads pretty darn fast. but it has nothing on BOP redwood forests and other big tree biomes as far as causing lag is concerned.

    NEI and Treecapitator in Monster

FTB packs use universal configs, so that is normal. they supply ready made configs for lots of mods not actually in the packs, just in case you want to add it yourself. Treecap is a popular one, so it's not surprising that the config is present.

I dunz no what to do

do you have ars magica enabled? how about thaumcraft? both are somewhat resource intense mod's. there is a complaint about a leaking world in your log. I'm trying to remember where i had that issue last time. I think it was linked to some kind of mystcraft world unloading bug. but that is fixed...

    Hijackers and Necros

This i can get behind. I personally don't mind old threads. but answering a question that is months old is a bit on the silly side.

    Hijackers and Necros

If a forum has a no necro policy, then that should be reflected in automatic locking of threads that have been idle for so and so long. I don't see that going on here, so I am assuming that necrotic threads are allowed. I have it as a personal policy however, to always refer to the version...

    Tinkers Construct and Melting Villagers

And shy tall gangly people :D Didn't get that far tho. hardcore world. and I died.

    Tinkers Construct and Melting Villagers

but but.. mad tall gangly people are "fun" seriously tho. it seems that my world is devoid of lilies. so far at least. just watch me find a whole bunch of em right after i have grinded my way to the end the hard way....

    Tinkers Construct and Melting Villagers

Enderman Auschwitz. that kinda has a nasty tone to it. I like it. finding an enderlily helps too. and yeah. getting the enough eyes for the portal itself is the grindy part. i rarely use more than maybe 3 eyes in order to find the portal. sometimes 0... the fortresses aren't that hard to find...

GeoStrata rocks, pickaxe it to death?

not unless that user likes to google his or her name on forums a lot afaik. on facebook otoh it is used to tag people in posts so that they get an automatic alert about it.

    Tinkers Construct and Melting Villagers

Yeah. a bummer that. especially since endermen seem to be relatively rare to catch in a swampy biome. getting enough pearls to get to the end is a pita sometimes.

GeoStrata rocks, pickaxe it to death?

the TiCo tools has a nice progression to them... some things to keep in mind. stone TiCo tools cannot break all the geostrata rocks, while flint seems to be able to. dunno if this is a bug or not. hammers can sometimes harvest ores a tier above their own material. TE silver being one of them...

    Tinkers Construct and Melting Villagers

real men don't beg blood from friends. they bleed it themselves. ;) I had a lolwut episode today btw. an endermen ported into my smeltery just before i was to take his head off... liquid ender anyone?

    Tinker's Sword mats

many blade and paper crossbar is a no brainer. the handle is down to preference. if you aren't planning on putting moss on it, then a many handle is a good bet, since it gives a 2.5x durability bonus. cactus gives a durability hit, so unless you really really need jagged, stay away. for armour...

Sacred rubber sapling "ruined" my world... what can i do?

chunk loading turtles are your savior then... program one to toodle on in, place down a nuke and detonate it. turtles are cheap after all, and so are chunk loading turtles once you have some decent mobfarms and stuff.
