You can add more ram to the single player game just by increasing the slider under the Force Update button in the Launcher.

TE fluiducts can absolutely pull fluid out of a tank, you just have to use the crecent hammer to change the end of the fluiduct to the red arrow and apply a redstone signal, like a lever. Make sure to leave some room between the lever and the tesseract or it will be affected by the redstone...

Dig the server name, but I havent had any issues with low spawn rate, often just the opposite.
