    I found strip mining isn't too effective in the nether. Best to have good armor and explore out in the open

    The only way I was able to get steel was to find it in a chest in an abandoned mine shaft, 2 blocks worth

    You can actually pick and chose what biomes you want in the config files under BoP. There are 80 biomes to chose from so look through some pics and pick which ones you want

    I always find it close to bedrock. Hard to find in caves unless they go down to bedrock
