    Starting out in the Deep Dark makes for an interesting experience. Got my first death swimming in lava for the Hell cube. Went back with some toast, 4 buckets of water, and an iron pick with zero experience. Got it done. :P

    I think the only thing you can do is support pillars every ~5 blocks then build 2 in from each pillar before placing the middle block.

    I noticed when I put the pack on our server that the dungeon spawners seem to not work at all. Makes for quick dungeon runs.

    One thing I've noticed running this pack on a server is that the server is always spamming "is the server overloaded?" when nobody is actually on. Soon as somebody logs on that stops and performance from the client standpoint appears to be fine. Haven't noticed that before with any other...

    I think you might not be using obsidian for your raw material. Make obsidian in ex nihilo stone barrels, decompose it into silicon dioxide. Obsidian decomposes into a huge amount of silicon dioxide, so even if you only have one crucible making lava to start with it'll be enough for your initial...

    One mega rubber wood sapling, an MFR harvester, and ~3.5 million RF later I have: 3369 rubber wood, 3369 raw rubber, and 595 rubber tree saplings. Wood falling from the sky everywhere, enviromine made a hell of a mess that I had to clean up with a dark axe---and its sneaky mode didn't/doesn't...

    Cardboard box: Best 4 sawdust ever spent. MFR harvester not so hot at dealing with enviromine physics when farming jungle trees. Probably need to switch to EIO since it harvests entire trees at a time so physics never happens.

    Last two deaths no gravestone. Really kills the desire to continue when I lose all of my painfully synthesized gear. update: found it about 30 blocks away from the death waypoint at the bottom of a chasm.

    I've read in a number of places the Minecraft itself keeps a number of chunks loaded around wherever the spawnpoint is. 17x17 chunks is what I've seen mentioned most although everybody doesn't seem to be in agreement.

    I suppose you've checked for keybind conflicts and resolved all of those? Just started playing this yesterday, having fun. Feels kind of cheaty that I can dump a bucket of sucrose on the ground and completely bypass the hunger mechanics. :) Good thing though as don't really like that bit...

    Sounds like operator error to me. Steam era machines need two things: enough steam to operate and an unblocked exhaust. Provide both of those things and they work indefinitely. If it runs once and stops then the output is blocked. If it runs out of steam it makes the out-of-steam/power noise...

    I've never not had my GT multiblocks with maintenance hatches eventually require maintenance, with or without duct tape.
