It's not exactly a spam situation, more of the fact that the oil's being produced in far higher quantity than a couple of generators can transform it into power. So you need more generators. Alternately, it's a good time to get into Advanced Generators, which will have no problem producing...

The generators only eat about 50mb at a time. So as big as your fuel system is, if you want more power just add many, many more generators.
