Decocraft fails to read something from disk. Reinstall pack and check your antivirus settings.

Might work with window manager but using some window manager makes things easier. Java GUI is like rest of the X11 applications it does not really care about whoch window manager is being used.

Won't work unless oracle makes JRE to work with Freon. Even if launcher works MC itself probably is not compatible with Freon.

Open your MC instance, click "...." buttom, select "repair minecraft". If that does not fix that MC version check your antivirus settings.

Libraries are shared between instances. Fixing it in one pack fixes it for all. Are you running 1.4.12 or some older version? If older you should update launcher manually by downloading new version from FTB website. Hint: look for legacy or grab "linux version"

Fyi: crashes with java 8 and 1.6.4 packs can be fixed by adding http://files.minecraftforge.net/LegacyJavaFixer/legacyjavafixer-1.0.jar into mods folder. FTB Launcher does this automatically, not sure about curse.

Ok. Both your launchers failed to install pack and scala library is missing or AV blocks it when classloader tries to read it. To fix that with FTB Launcher open options and click force update once. Then start pack normally. To fix that with curse open one of the 1.10.2 packs, press (...)...

Launcher logs extra information about environment which makes troubleshooting easier.
