    FPS is not impacted by RAM. If you don't have enough RAM, you will crash with an out of memory error. The bottleneck would be the GPU or CPU.

    Java eats as much RAM as you give it, so unless you actually get an out of memory error, you are just wasting your RAM. Your CPU is not stellar, but I can Ultimate at 20-30 FPS at about 2.6GHz. What? I only have 4GB RAM and always play on far.

    Make sure you are downloading 0.2 of the packs. The later versions are broken, at least until the team can get out a launcher update later toady.

    It looks like you have both CompactSolars and Advanced Solars. Choose whichever one you prefer and disable the other.

    1.5.2 packs will not be compatible with future worlds. 1.6 may well break you worlds anyway, whether you are on 1.4.7 or 1.5.2. And the 1.5.2 packs will be buggy, incomplete and incompatible.
