What's new in modded minecraft today?

I think the 8x is useful, maybe the 64x is overkill - and it's RF isnt it. i always prefer one block instead of a bank for no reason. When used for base power you always want more and more - the low 80RF/t limit of the generators and TE dynamos was always annoying for any decent power generation.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

As long as this is true, I welcome the upgrades, I reckon these things are useful on just about every machine every time (the redstone/sides/auto-eject). Always wanted faster TE machines, now I have a reason to make awesome amounts of RF Well, TE already did that to begin with, so meh - It's...

As much as forth and frames were hyped up, tbh - forth was a pita, and frames were so buggy they usually weren't reliable unless you copied someone else exactly, or they were way laggier than alternatives - so, really those are no big loss from P:R

Actually that makes me think of something I forgot about with FMP. As far as I know, facades support more blocks, and at the moment I'm having trouble since my base is made from chisel... hrm compatibilities are frustrating... Edit: oh yeah, Elo's adding more unique microblocks isn't she...

I do agree with that, but I've usually had the impression that multi transport-everything-cable was usually more intensive than a simple redwire, and that was mostly based on a comment by King Lemming ages ago i think, on a player getting lag on magmatic engines connected to mekanism cables I...

    ELORAAM

(I do circle back on-topic here) I'll admit I haven't yet tried engineers toolbox or even enderIO (though I've been meaning to), mostly because a lot of the functionality they offer, I already have in other mods that I play, and partly because a few of the 'new' mods I have wanted to try...

but the cables are too blocky, even though theyre all 'bundled' they just take up too much damn space. Most of the time you don't need barely any of the rednet controller functions anyway, a lever, maybe a not gate and a timer, or a state cell, and you have all the redstone logic you need for...

and none of those things are as clean as P:R, especially the FMP support which blows away competition - I hate using a whole block just for a redwire equivelant. the redwire, coloured and bundled cables + logic are the only reason i have P:R, they're just too useful not to have.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

I was trying various methods of hollowing out a mountain, so i used the wand of equal trade to turn the outer shell into wood, that way hammers and excavators wouldn't mine it. Never got it fully hollow though, moved on to 1.7.2 now. -I'm thinking of trying pneumaticraft robots this time.

Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

Well, I just made something I think looks pretty good, so I thought I'd post it. I got bored while hollowing a mountain and drifted into thaumcraft. I quickly noticed my infusion altar was clunky and annoying. essentia was always overflowing into the 'excess' jars, the pedestals were always...

    Feed the City [Ultimate Pack][1.4.6][Whitelist][Survival][Filmed]

the front door to the house the gate and plethora of torches around protects enough against mobs getting in the house, and as a general MC bug, if you have any lag whatsoever a door, or door + pressure plate, is a pain to get through without getting stuck in it. Especially if more than one...

can't screenshot because server is down... I'll try and note what we got done well the buildcraft power system is coming along nicely running off magmatic engines and now using redstone conduits and an energy cell. The industrialcraft system now has 16 eu/t solar input, an MFE was in the works...

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

Yeah, I knew all that, I just wasn't sure if the fuel use went down as the 'output' went down, because internal energy still climbs, and 'energy' usually requires fuel. If they still used fuel I was saying it takes ages for them to shutdown which would've meant lots of fuel loss. but if they...

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

They do, but I mostly use a lever, because of the few times I've left them running they do go orange, and build up heat and energy, but I think their time taken to bonk out is WAAAAY too long - like, hours. their output listed does go down, but i have no idea if their fuel use drops with it...

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

My power system is mostly manual, I recharge TE redstone cells at a central location and then redistribute them if one becomes empty, I like the feeling of replacing a battery once in a while :) Oh, and my recharge station? http://i.imgur.com/tvff5h.png That's right, thats a whopping 7x7x8...
