Just picked up skyrim too! I'd be that guy all donned up in heavy armor, super-chanted with mage perks. But I like sneaking too much, it just fits my playstyle for most games.

Have you tried other trees? I know there's a super-oak tree, or some name like that, found in plains. There's a rubber tree in RP2, they don't look nice but they seem suitable for treehouses. And the possibilities are endless when you make your own tree! Or, like you did here, you can connect...
