[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Ok, this is driving me nuts... I'm after a blizz, and so far the search function has yielded that there might be spawners in the subway (oh dear). Or that the end-line glacial percipitator quest gives a blizz egg... I suspect that has changed since the post was made though - unless there's a...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Eh, It's more the concept is simpler, easier to understand, no loops. just cobble in -> seared out. That's what I meant, since they're both set & forget, there's really no benefit to using the faster one over the long term. I did start with the seared cobblestone to get enough high oven brick...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I use the high oven purely because it's simpler, and easy to setup. set & forget systems are great even if you use the slowest one.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Every time I try and think something up, the only way to prevent clog problems is to have 9 of something, ususally drums/tanks. The goal would be to get SFM to handle the liquids, since it can move them fastest, and therefore make the casting basins run fastest, it can also always make sure to...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

iirc SFM can't see smeltery/high oven drains properly, so you'd have to have a drum or something to empty the high oven out into first.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

it'll clog up the fluiducts regardless, you're just moving the clog from the high oven to the deep tank. If you keep smelting for long enough (i.e. in an automated setup), the high oven + deep tank combo will overflow just as easily as the high oven itself. So rather than increasing your molten...

Generally, you install that minimap with the knowledge that you can use it to teleport and get out of bugs - but the willpower to not cheat with it Also, by the time you can make snow, water isn't that much of an issue. Plus snow would melt into extra water anyway, so if that is an 'exploit'...

    Opinions on Microsoft buying Mojang

I've tried switching to linux several times, always switched back. NOT because I like windows, or microsoft, but because windows has a corner on the market when it comes to program compatibility, especially games. I suspect quite a few people are in the same boat. People who use windows !=...

    Opinions on Microsoft buying Mojang

Like people have said, it's possible the biggest changes they make are adding more development for windows 8 (since notch stopped that), and windows phone, then using minecraft to push their devices. They could leave it alone for the most part, like they claim they're going to do... but... I...

    Opinions on Microsoft buying Mojang

I wonder if we should compile a list of modders and personalities that are: leaving straight up thinking, waiting Staying could be useful, but could be a troll/flame magnet... clever timing, 2.0, microsoft edition... lol

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Don't get me wrong, I REALLY REALLY hate the channels and crap introduced into the new AE2. That and it's circumventable with P2P tunnels - intended or not, allowing 100s of channels run through one channel defeats the point of channels... Its just a complete pain in the backside from a mod that...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

EnderIO isn't the only alternative to TE pipes, while playing 1.7.2 a while back, Extra utilities pipes worked perfectly fine, for fluids, items, and energy alike. And they aren't gated behind a machine-wall like EIO (except maybe the energy pipes I think). So the missing TE functionality is...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Most of the functionality that's 'missing' in 1.7.10 is fairly easily replaceable with other mods, and as you've said, changing recipes/removing items fixes the balance issues. I don't believe TE is that much of a backbone to CL that those pipes being missing is a big deal either way. You've...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Yeah, I tried that a while ago, gave up when the cable couldn't grab items - didn't check other sides, thats news to me. It doesn't sound like much of a problem then, just have the cable on the back and power on the bottom right?

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I've never had any issues with 1.7, granted that was 1.7.2 - but not a problem in the world I guess it pays to have a powerful rig ;) Yeah channels are a F***** pain, the easy way to get around them is to just use ME P2P tunnels everywhere, you can daisy chain them pretty much anywhere and...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I reckon go for it, 1.6.4 is now two versions behind, starting to show its age and no longer getting development, it makes sense to switch at some point, may-as-well switch now. The biggest change I believe was the removal of item ids, which has all sorts of coding ramifications, along with...

    Opinions on Microsoft buying Mojang

if expecting the worse is paranoia, then expecting the best is naive I think we can all agree that microsofts goals, whatever they are will most certainly be different to what mojang's goals were/are. This means changes, a lot of which we probably won't want, as microsofts most likely goals...
