They aren't that bad. We made them in AS1 without AE. They are easier to make than the non-GT gravisuite stuff and Vajra, and I think they are worth it for the functionality.

What just blew up my Well of Suffering? It's a basic Cursed Earth spawn room, fans blowing mobs into a corner where they fall into a hole onto the Well of Suffering. I could probably remove the fans, as the well has a large area, but they are there from when I was manually killing creatures...

Yes, you get a different species as well, but that can easily be bred with a bunch of drones (or manipulated with a genetics mod like Gendustry or Extra Bees) to get whatever species you need. I don't know what the Bloody Bee species itself is useful for, I just use it to make pristine bees.

Ignoble bees can be converted into Pristine by dunking them in a Blood Altar.

Good luck with that, but bear in mind that once you find a hungry node, you have found two. Nodes spawn in the same places and of the same type in the Overworld as in the Twilight Forest, so if you find a hungry node in the TF, then there will be one at the same co-ordinates in the OW. Flat...
