I second this. Fumbling to open the box, he finally manages to get it open, and he finds a note inside, alongside a red orb.

It should carry over the disks, seeing as all data about the player's inventory is kept in the player.dat file.

Whatever materials you get, you have to make an axe first, of all things. Get obsidian? No, you can't make an enchanting table. Make it into obsidian plates, and upgrade your axe with reinforced. Get a diamond and some gold? Get an extra modifier for your axe, so you can put the next...
