Are you in adventure mode? Check NEI and see if you accidentally switched yourself while trying to get to Survival. Adventure mode is between Creative+ and Survival.

Your log shows two versions of Java. One old version 6 64bit and one newer version 7 32bit version. The launcher preferred the Java 6 64bit version. Uninstall all Java versions, 32bit and 64bit, restart. Then install the latest 64bit version from HazDS's link.

I'm no expert on linux, but try using the jre only not the jdk version of Java. I know the jre is in the jdk, but minecraft might not play well with it that way.

Found a good place to figure out which pack. Look here for a detailed list of which mods and versions were in each version of the mod pack. I would use more than one mod version to compare as ProjectRed has been 4.1.0.13 for a few pack versions. Good luck finding the pack version.
