I am all about the waiting because their have been alot of changes to alot of mods so I can wait till the vast majority of bugs get squashed so that it will end up being a better mod pack.

ya optifine works for some but I had even worse with it until I changed fps down now I just run lower settings Edit: never mind made it lag like crazy on ultimate 1.02

I usually do the fast graphic settings on optifine to help my older computer play ultimate also it gives you the option to set the fps so that helped me by setting it lower since I think its set at 260 or something crazy like that

what kind of graphics card does it have thats usually the first problem is that it can't keep up with the rendering

do what I do with fraps just change the keys so that you have it start and stop with different keys. I hated having to play with chunk lines its farely simple to change
