I like you're research, never thought to melee mobs with the arrows. Why make an F*cking sword?!?!? In any evernt Thaum stuff isn't available to use as materials yet in 1.6.4 so flame string is the go to. Gonna fart around with the melee arrows bit. Hilarious to say the least. Most likely fixed...
