Depends on your specs man. I'm pretty sure the texture packs aren't stored in ram, only in Vram. Though they might be swapped into ram if for some reason the CPU needs access to them for whatever reason, or if you simply don't have enough vram. That "should" be how it works... But minecraft...

In the DW20 pack is there anything that would let you transport spawners into another dimension? Say a mystcraft age into the overworld? I have the portal gun mod but that doesn't work across dimensions. Edit: also can spawners spawn mobs on a floor made of spawners?

Hmmm, I think I STILL need more curse earth. I am about 40% of the way down this natura tree. And I decided to go the grinder on every floor route. Still takes 5 minutes to fill up an open blocks tank with nothing taking any mob essence out. It also can't keep up with my 3 witch spawners.

The grinder idea is definitely an option. Last resort though. Heres what I was thinking: Drawbridges every 3 levels, (so two air spaces in between, I don't need nor want endermen spawning) Then set up a timer hooked up to wireless redstone all the levels will be set to the same frequency and...
