Another weird thing with Chisel is with various marble stairs, when you break them you get a different type of marble stair.

As far as I can tell, when I updated to 0.8.0, it was fine. but for some reason the launcher now thinks that 0.8.0 never existed and is asking me if I want it to "correct" it. (Or it forgot about 0.8.0)

When trying to launch the pack or from just opening up the launcher?

When I drop down the menu, the one just below "recommended" is 0.7.4. There is no 0.8.0 anywhere in the drop-down menu...

I put FPS plus into the pack and I'm still having TERRIBLE frame rate. Suggestions? I've played on larger modpacks using FastCraft, but FastCraft causes this one to crash... I'm getting like 1 FPS. Please, I NEED HELP!!!

Um... why is the launcher saying that 1.1.4 is recommended over 1.1.6? Or is my launcher just being weird?

I've seen various instances of great potential go down the drain because of some disruption in the person's life and they never manage to get back into "the swing of things". I also didn't want my post to be taken the wrong way.
