    Would you build this?

One of the following into the console about once per tick, complete with chat spam: or I've had both happen from doing the same thing, but not both at once.

I was referring specifically to the shaft power controller thing with that bit. Oh, that's weird. On a related note, it's worth mentioning that bad things happen if you place a shaft power bus on top of a bedrock breaker pointed downwards.

Monster: Things that should be disabled by default. Your opinions

You're right actually, Geostrata stone doesn't convert into vanilla sandstone, or Emasher limestone, but both can be converted into their Geostrata equivalents. Odd. It's exploity for exactly the same reason converting between different kinds of wood or wool or stained clay, completely freely...

Monster: Things that should be disabled by default. Your opinions

Vanilla stone being convertible to Geostrata stone effectively invalidates the entire worldgen aspect of Geostrata, which is almost the entire point of the mod. Someone would have to ask Reika what he thinks about that. You may as well be just deleting the normal stone you mined up and cheating...

Monster: Things that should be disabled by default. Your opinions

For the same reason wood and planks are blacklisted on both the Automatic Dictionary Converter and Unifier: some stone is much rarer than others, and some only spawns in certain biomes or at certain depths, and in this case the blast resistance value also varies among stone varieties. It seems...

Alternatively it can be piped into a Mariculture automatic dictionary converter or MFR unifier. It also (pretty exploitably) works the other way around, too; any ore dictionary stone into your Geostrata stone of choice.

Does that mean that inter-dimensional Mystcraft power transport doesn't actually respect where the linking book links, but only the dimension? E.g., (100,100,100) in Dim-37 can only link to (100,100,100) in some other dimension, and not from (100,100,100) Dim-37 to (2000,100,100) in Dim-0, even...

    graphics glitch PLEASE HELP

Disable AA & AF for javaw.exe in your graphics card control panel. I had an AMD card that did that really badly if I didn't manually turn it off. If it's an AMD card the ability to do so is somewhere with the application profile stuff, if it's nVidia it's under 3D settings -> Manage 3D settings...

    Monster/Horizons Hotfixes

Just wanted to point out that, as of Monster 1.0.11, Geostrata Microblocks still aren't enabled. For anyone interested, if you want to enable them manually, the lines to add to microblocks.cfg are: I recommend against adding any opal blocks (IDs: 726, 728, 731, 733, 735, 778, 779, 780) to the...

Dumb Tricks - Dumb/OP Mod Interactions Edition

On that note, tossing down a few magenta crystals in a butterfly greenhouse built for Forestry tree breeding will extend the butterflies' normally limited lifespans indefinitely. Makes amassing dozens of butterflies much faster and more sustainable.

    Unsupported Monster 1.6.4 Bug Reports

Mod Pack: Monster 1.0.11 Mod & Version: BetterStorage 0.8.0.43 Pastebin link to crash log: http://pastebin.com/bc2zbHC0 Whats the bug? Shift-clicking the output of a BetterStorage crafting station too quickly has a chance to crash the server. The server also crashes if the chunk that contained...

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

It's worth mentioning that Nether (or Twilight Forest) portal power transmission would do exactly nothing to help transmit power out of a Mystcraft age, because Nether and TF portals don't work in Mystcraft ages at all.

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

Maybe. In order to do inter-dimensional shaft power transport via mystcraft portal, you'd need to: Get the exit dimension and coordinates of portal A * If the dimension is the same as the current dimension, you also have to check if the book is intra linking, otherwise the portal will still be...

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

Irony translates poorly over the internet. Mystcraft does have crystal portals, but the problem with them is that they're one way: there's an entrance portal, but the system isn't designed to have an exit portal. Think End portal, and not Nether or Twilight forest that should always have a...

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

The Reactorcraft tokamak fusion reactor isn't anything like the experiments being conducted at the National Ignition Facility, where the entire fusion test only lasts a few billionths of a second and produces x amount of energy, it's a continuously-operating reactor that produces y amount of...

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Just to be clear, you do know what a "watt" is, right? There's already a fusion reactor thread here. I'm not sure why the discussion isn't there.

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

There really isn't any efficient way to move all, or even a significant percentage of the power generated by a ReactorCraft fusion reactor. Reika mentioned here that someone managed to produce 58 gigawatts of power - that's 58,000,000,000 W, or 5.8*10^10 W - with a fusion reactor. To convert...

I was unable to load my world, Then It wouldn't save properly. :(

Your level.dat file is probably corrupted. Make a new world, preferably with the same seed, and copy the level.dat file from the new world into a copy of your old world folder. If you don't know what the seed was, you're going to have to deal with chunk boundary issues, but otherwise the world...
