Can you get the preferred temperature or humidity traits from either extra bees or gendustry? I don't mean the tolerance traits, I'm talking about bees preferring Normal Temperature etc.

I'm roughly the same, I only have something like 6 or 7 sifters each with 2 activators on them. I think that the split is something like 3 dust, 3 gravel and 1 soul sand. I only have 800 diamonds or so, but that's normally enough. I think that I'll get the diamond bees as well.

I'm in Flat Platform, copy your world (may have to do it at the file system), go creative, give yourself goggles of reavealing and take a flight.

There are nodes at low level, about 10 or so. I copied my world for some creative testing and went for a flight down there. Quite a few nodes. Problem for me is that at least one of them is hungry.

I found the same problem. The solution isn't to find a mountain biome, it's to complete the seed oil quest, that gives attuned bees as a reward, which I suspect is the correct way to proceed through that bees quest. Also, have a look in NEI, there is no Attuned Hive.

I got them in AG as they're good for seed oil. It takes a while, but they're starting to produce now.

I'll admit that I used my warp book to get me out of the nether when I was being monstered by some hellfish, but I also use it to just move around my base at times. That is one thing that they're useful for.

If anyone's interested, it's hqm/hqmconfig.cfg and the parameter is I:MaxLives=<value> there are a couple of other interesting config's in there as well. How does setting max lives work? does it not give you a heart if you're on max lives? or if you consume a heart on max lives it does...

I don't think that this idea works. The reason being that the alchemical construct requires greatwood planks to be able to be constructed, so you need Greatwood before you can progress to a quest that gives you a Greatwood sapling as a reward. I still think that pech trading is the best bet...
