Have you guys ever made a fusion reactor in RC? That thing can power an entire 50 man server and everyone can run 200 laser drills off it
Tbh back in 1.2.5 Redpower was state of the art in mc modding, but today it would just be another attempt at item management and automation, and, if no severely improved and expanded upon, a rather dull and bad one at that.
In-Game Name: waldlauefer
How old are you? 21
Where are you from (City, State or Country)? Germany
What are you looking for in this server: Experience the early stages of 1.7 modded mc.
How active are you? depends on how much I like the server, generally a couple hours a day
Do you agree to the...
Asides from the overly annoying bars that obfuscate your play at times, progressing in this pack is very easy. You can pretty much start with steel tools once you get your smeltery. That bypasses the copper, flint, iron, bronze and alumite tiers of toools. The poorly guarded dungeons will give...
Given the fact that you need materials from it to progress, there must be a way to sustain your temperature while you'r there.
Failing that, bad game design.
Also maybe though about people on a server who cant just sleep?
Here's my 2 cents :
The bars at the side need to be much MUCH more forgiving and there needs to be a clear wiki on what exactly affects them.
Currently all strategy from every player i've seen on the server im on consists of this: Keep food full, when you overheat/go insane/ or start choking...
You could try the cookie-cutter default checklist before trying more complex solutions:
- Make sure server configs are set properly
- Make sure the cpu isn't beeing consumed by some other program
- Make sure you have the latest java
- Make sure you run the recommended jvm-arguments.
I would generally advise to stay away from pre-packaged one-click hosters such as creeperhost or nitrado or such.
They have a bad rep, for a reason. The packs are overpriced and often times you don't even get what it says in the product description.
Try updating to the latest mcpc+ (cauldron) build. If that doesn't cut it, try without relinquary installed.
Make sure you have mcpc+ (cauldron) properly set up and config'ed.
My best guess when starting off in monster is :
start with a couple magmatic dynamo and handfill a couple of portable tanks for early power, then do that until you can afford going mekanism wind turbines with a tesseract to circumvent having to lay 250+ cables to sky limit.
And once you get...
It breaks down to this : What do you value higher? The freedom of choice for players to choose what kind of servers they want to play on and support what they like
or
The protection of parents' money from kids stealing their credit cards and then spending 100s of dollars on micro transactions...
Thermal expansion is responsible for less then 20% strain by now, and its the most used techmod on the server. The mods are just poorly optimized in general, thats the problem
A decent server and you need to ban half the game for lag-reasons
none of the 1.6 packs is even remotely close to beeing as stable as ultimate or even unleashed.
Im more then a bit afraid this will mean the end of most modded servers, because the hosting costs are horrible and people not willing to pay much without massive advantages.
Self explanatory. They dropped the bomb. Will become effective from August 1st onward.
