I would post this on the bug thread however due to lack of privilages I am posting here. I have noticed that some of the blocks get funny colors or grass becoming partly invisible which allows you to see where lava lakes are deep underground. I am not sure what causes this or if this bug is...

I have had FTB University crash the instant I tried to launch the game after updating the modpack to version 1.2.1 from version 1.2.0 Only by wiping the entire pack and installing the newer version fixed the instant crash at launch.

Fist click on the three dots of the mod that is acting up, to bring up more details on the mod in question, then click on the button open folder to see the instance for that mod and then delete the mod that is acting up, then redownload the mod which should clear up the instant crash at launch

I have found the fix for this issue. The old version of the mods when updating to newer versions. you need to wipe the old mod folder and the game will start as per normal. This is a bit of a workaround until the team figures out a way to remove the older mods when updating too a newer versions...

In addition to the crash at launch, there are no crash reports given so we know nothing of what is causing the issues

no problem. also keep in mind if your friends use a lot of hoppers, you can ask them to put furnaces on top of them to help take a bite out of the lag somewhat

There could be other reasons as to why the server is a bit laggy. Your friends could be running some very redstone-itensive builds that does nothing but cause lag. Secondly, your fiends could be using a lot of transparent blocks/elements in their builds which can also cause lag, and that is only...

idk if it would help but you could also try updating the mods in the pack as well if that does not clear up your issues and it would be wise to make a copy of the mod folder before you try that though

i have a personal modpack that i am building and i am not sure what mod is preventing all passive, mobs from spawning except for villagers as well as netrual mobs and hostile overworld mobs from spawning. I ported the modpack to another laptop and the mobs appeared in the world. i have 277 mods...

i got the same thing and posted but no one from the ftb dev team has replied yet btw what anti-virus software are you using? avast and avg are giving postitves on it update: the devs say that the virus scanner is reporting a false postive no need to worry

Avast has blocked the launcher from running due to it found IDP.Generic. I downloaded straight from the site. Is this normal or did something happen? problem solved, the issue was that the virus scanner gave a false postive
