Bug Problems with modpacks, Java, and Antivirus

Can you turn off heuristic analysis of files in Trend Micro? Your antivirus is just detecting possible threats. It shouldn't be in lock-down mode for that, it should at least ask what you want to do. Get rid of the heuristic analysis since it is garbage anyway. The chances that Trend Micro...

    Java Runtime Crash

It does actually! That is impressive since I've been using this handle since early 90's.

    Java Runtime Crash

Well the error is in the ATI driver from the looks of it, and it is trying to write to invalid memory. The actual error will be in that hs_err_pid4288.log I would focus the fix on video card/driver and memory. since you already tried different drivers, try a memtest just to make sure you...

Modsauce 1.7.10 (ATLauncher) VS. MONSTER 1.6.4 (FTB)

I've been running a ModSauce server for a couple of weeks now. With Fastcraft the chunk generation is bearable, but still noticeable. I haven't had the server crash ever, the client though has some issues and regular (but unpredictable) crashes. The mods included are lots of fun and a nice...

POSITIVE opinions on the Mojang Acquisition

Actually I'm thinking more like monitoring reactor fuel levels and maybe a few alerts like 90% of storage space reached...reactor on fire. Smoking crater where base was... I was recently trying out ReactorCraft.

    How to charge Botania tools?

Is there an easy way to automate throwing coal at the endoflames? Otherwise I'm thinking dispenser/dropper on a really long timer for blocks of charcoal...

POSITIVE opinions on the Mojang Acquisition

I have actually thought about writing an interface to a web page to monitor the server through CC. I've been too lazy busy to do it yet though.

POSITIVE opinions on the Mojang Acquisition

If we are talking about blue sky dreams then I would love it if I could get the pocket edition to be fully compatible with the PC version. Checking in on my base from my phone? Pure awesome. Not even remotely realistic...oh well. Actual optimistic ideas would be to get some fancy engineers...

Automating RotaryCraft Fermenter in a colder climate

I had this problem and found that a project red alloy wire will go under the item conduit from thermal expansion so you can layer them to provide the signal. Not sure if that is in Tech World, I did it in Monster.

Tips for reducing server lag on tiny home server?

Ah! Yes that would cause havoc, not sure what would happen in MC, but nothing good!

Tips for reducing server lag on tiny home server?

You can't overload a Ramdisk, it is the system memory which will be an order of magnitude faster than any mechanical HD.

Tips for reducing server lag on tiny home server?

If you tried a RamDisk and that did not help then the HDD is out of the equation as nothing for storage is faster than a RamDisk. The problem will be your CPU being overloaded. OPIS might help you find the source of the excessive burden on your CPU.

    Minimum spec for ftb

The CPU is more than fine, I run the Monster pack on much worse CPU and memory. The GPU will be your deciding factor.

I'm on Win 7-64bit, Launcher 1.3.7. Anyone else has splash screen freeze?

Yep I get it too, end task on the task manager for javaw.exe and then it starts up. Get rid of that stupid splash screen!

    Remote charging station

What are you talking about? The person who dug up the thread added a working solution. Anybody searching threads now has a useful response. I always appreciate a solution added. I don't care how old it is. For those of us who search the forums instead of opening new threads every time it is...

What is wrong with adding useful information to an older thread? That is much better than making a new thread to clutter up searches.

Universal Electricity vs IC2 pros & cons

Time if more limited for me than bandwidth. Why would I want to spend more than two minutes looking up what something simple like a GUI for a machine, or which of these items is the starting engine without sitting through a 24 minute video. On a wiki I can click and read all the info in a...
