It does say somewhere I think that exploring caves is a good idea... but for what? I've only ever found a mob spawner.

You could need the garden soil, sand, or Mycelium. Some crops need different blocks planted on.

Point at the sapling when placed and look at the popup in the top middle if your screen, it should have info on it. If it says it's not fertile/won't grow (works on seeds, not sure on saplings) then plant it elsewhere. Plant it outside just to be safe, and clear an area so it's not obstructed...

Don't pay attention to Ouroboros, he/she chooses to post hate and mock you instead of ignore. What saplings, some require you to place them in a 2x2 pattern. I'm clueless on most of the mods, but I expect some saplings require special treatment to grow. Check your books or Google "How to grow...

Yes as a matter of fact I did. The recipe called for a mushroom that I did not have an was unable to grow, I wrote that. Thanks to a friendly fellow above I now know I can mutate to get mushrooms now which I previously thought not possible. So do tell me how I could possibly know to make it that...

Okay, I can't find this anywhere in the Lexicon, Google, that Purple Mentat Youtuber, or NEI. How are you supposed to get Infestation Seeds for that quest? It shows you toss a mushroom in the Mana Pool, but to get a mushroom you need to plant the spores on Mycelium which you need Infestation...

Worked perfectly fine for my server with my friend in the last version, no crashes. But that's not this version so don't listen to me ;L

I had an issue where a mod (Agricraft I think?) was not the same version as the client one you download from the launcher. To make sure all mods are updated/fit the server, just copy all the mods you downloaded client side and put them in the mod folder of the server, delete the old ones.
