Currently, I'm having the same issue with all FTB installs. One guy fixed it and I'm awaiting a reply from him. If removing 6 doesn't work for you then we'll have to wait till he replys. Hes using Debian, I Ubuntu, and now OSx. I hope its just a matter of java adventure.
