Is their any practical reason to use the MFR Steam Turbine to produce steam over using the TE3 Steam Dynamo? This is for Monster 1.1.0

Just wondering how people are going about making tree farms in Horizons. I'm thinking about using the Gamy's Surface blocks for crops, but I don't think the Planter would work with saplings. Overall, I quite like the feel of the modpack. Many thanks for putting it together.
