Look for the FTB launcher log in the same folder as the launcher. There will also be a second file called MinecraftLog as well. Your errors will be in either of those files.

When it runs, it's running in Java 7. When it crashes, it's in Java 8. I had to remove Java 8 completely to get back into Minecraft, vanilla and modded.

Did you install Java 8 by chance? That's nearly identical to the issue I had right after an update to Java. Edit: Helps to read all posts before responding.... Remove Java 8. It's not compatible with Minecraft at this time.

Why not use a combination of player detector and tesla coils with backups from rotarycraft? Would keep the potential damage to the base down, and would be fairly simple to setup and conceal.

The halls were made using white xychorium bricks for the floor and black xychorium bricks for the walls. The lighting was provided by inverted black xychorium lamps. As for the honeycomb textures, I used green engineering blocks for the tanks.

Not that I am aware of, a mod would be the one to make that call though. Overall the conversation has been positive, and any troll attempts got slapped down without mods having to issue warnings that we're aware of. So long as things stay that way, they're not likely to close the thread.
