i had no idea where to post this so this looks good, anyways, im new to ftb, acctually havent even gotten to play due to difficulties, anyways, this is the only screenie i could get before my launcher quit out

so if anyone could help me figure out my problem it would be great!

Did you install Java 8 by chance? That's nearly identical to the issue I had right after an update to Java.

Edit: Helps to read all posts before responding.... Remove Java 8. It's not compatible with Minecraft at this time.

yeah, i have java 8.20 should i downgrade?

Remove Java 8 completely. It's not compatible with Minecraft.

When it runs, it's running in Java 7. When it crashes, it's in Java 8. I had to remove Java 8 completely to get back into Minecraft, vanilla and modded.

just a note, java 8 is not compatible with modded minecraft due to forge, it works just fine for vanilla minecraft

Actually it is a specific version of java 8, I have java 8 and I run just fine.

You need to uninstall Java 8 via Program Manager in the Control Panel. It wouldn't hurt just to uninstall every instance of java, restart your computer, and return to the website to install the most recent version of Java 7. I'd give your computer another restart after that, but it isn't necessary.
