Thanks, looks like a hopper or three stacked on top of each other gives enough space to be able to fit all ores into their storage.

So having never really used Buildcraft for it's pipes other then simple transport from one spot to another, is there a easy way to have it only pull out ores if there is a space for the ore to go in a grinder/macerator/pulverizer? Only solution i can think of off hand is a obsidian pipe at the...
