My main island is on top something around 60x60 and down where my mobfarm is around 45. I started early on this map with my mobfarm so i build it under my flat wooden and ugly platform. The first time i saw my main island from the side, ... it was a prompt decision to build something around.

Some new pics has been added in my first post. Im working on my biodome at the moment. My army of butterflies helps me to get new trees.

Sorry its my first try with blood magic too so i cant tell the best way. But i can tell you will need a lot of runes of self sacrifice to get a good amount of blood i the altar. Just go step by step and you will need the FTB wiki.

I dont know how far you are with blood magic ... the phantom bridge is epic to build in the nowhere above the void ;) BTW make a small dark room in a magic biome for pechs.

I think we got one sigil from trading with pechs and the others from killing wither.

I like to watch your building progress. Its a complete other way i build mine. I first build the top with the shape of the island and then i used the phantom bridge from blood magic to build down. Im interested in see your complete island ... looks nice till now.

Try a little dark room 2 blocks high i think pechs also spawn only in dark places. Sure creeper, zombies and skellys will spawn too but with a little practice you will be able to kill the other mobs without killling the pech. BTW you will be able to get Whisp essences for Thaumcraft too. Perhaps...
