Good Evening everyone,

I'm playing on the new direworlf pack and i noticed that after a few minutes my game starts running at 19fps which is unbearable. In the launcher i have the allocated RAM set to max at 4GB which for me is new because i used to have it set at much higher. I don't know why its doing this as I don't have anything else running besides iTunes and i know my computer can handle it. My specs will be below, if you have any ideas as too whats the cause, I'm open for suggestions. I believe thats all the specs i need to have for this purpose.

CPU: Intel i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz
RAM: 32 GB DDR3-1866
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

If you haven't already, upgrade to Java 8 (1.8.0_25). Also, if you haven't tweaked your java args, I highly recommend it. I use the following on a 4-core processor:

Note : change Infinity2.jar to your DW20 .jar file.

And, don't enable hyperthreading. pre-1.8, MC can't use more than 2 or 3 threads/processes. It's most efficient if you use Intel chip in 'dedicated core' mode, not hyperthreaded mode.
 
Thanks for the help guys! Ill try the last two suggestions now. Ive installed fastcraft but after 10-15 minutes the game is unplayable.
 
after the game loads try killing the launcher, on my pc it starts to ramp up cpu usage after 20 minutes until it uses 80%.

Might should weird, but try this pack on a server. See if that improves your preformance
Also are you getting lag on a new world? world gen can cause some lag. Maybe fly around and load chunks before you start playing.

I find Mipmap in video settings causes a bit of lag, try to set it to off.
